An interactive session was conducted 7th December, 2023 by the speaker Mr. Anthony Beliyil, Director, Blue Whale Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd., which was really appreciated by the students. The evolution of logistics from earlier times to its recent times and how the gradual transformation took place was discussed by the speaker and our students noticed this interesting transformation with great enthusiasm.
Marketing Xpress– The Marketing Club of A.I’s Allana Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai organized on 14th January 2023,
MARKETKSHETRA – an intra-collegiate event. The event saw participation from 40 students from marketing specialization MMS- IInd yr. IIIrd – Semester batch 2021-23, Academic Yr. 2022-23 in morning session and approximately 100 students of MMS- IInd yr.
IIIrd – Semester in afternoon session batch 2021-23, Academic Yr. 2022-23. The event started at 10.30a.m. and went on all through the day. Students participated with zeal and enthusiasm, and displayed teamwork and camaraderie.
The performing tasks instilled in students the importance of listening, trusting and supporting each other, as well as developing skills such as communication and collaboration.
During the event the Marketing club student’s organizers and faculty members of Marketing Club effort were also recognize.
On 1st Dec 2023, Anjuman-I-Islam Allana Institute of Management Studies, Twenty-five students of MMS second Year of Allana Institute of Management Studies along with One faculty member, Prof. Fatima Kaniz Sayed, went on a study tour to MCX, Andheri (east), Mumbai, on 1st December, 2023 to gain exposure on how commodity exchange works and also interaction with industry experts.
The first listed exchange in India, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), is a cutting-edge commodity derivatives exchange that enables online trading of commodity derivatives transactions, offering a platform for risk management and price discovery. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) provides regulatory oversight for the Exchange, which began operations in November 2003.
Mr. Vinod Kanojiya- AVP - Training & Education, explained to our students that in addition to trading on indices made up of these contracts, MCX provides trading in commodity derivative contracts across a variety of industries, such as bullion, industrial metals, energy, and agricultural commodities.
It is the first exchange in India to provide futures contracts on energy, base metals, and bullion, as well as commodity options
The Exchange creates quality standards and trade laws with the goal of giving participants in the commodities value chain impartial, safe, and transparent trade procedures.
During the MDP on 8th November, 2023, the presentation by Prof. S. P. Kothari, MIT Sloan School of Management, Boston USA, delved into the transformative trends shaping the equity research and asset management landscape. Key themes included the rise of passive investments, the growth of alternative investments, the increasing importance of ESG, and the impact of technological advancements on portfolio management. The session provided valuable insights for senior executives to navigate the complexities of the modern financial ecosystem, emphasizing the need for adaptability, innovation, and a focus on sustainability.
Prof. Jahangir Sultan, Bentley University, Massachusetts USA, his session explored the strategic role of commodities in diversified portfolios. By incorporating commodities into investment strategies, senior finance executives can enhance portfolio resilience, hedge against inflation, and improve long-term performance. The discussion provided actionable frameworks for optimizing commodity allocations, balancing risk and return, and navigating market volatility.

Management Development Program (MDP) themed “Global Trends in Equity Research and Asset Management,” organized by Allana Institute of Management Studies in association with UTI AMC. (India first mutual fund company) Attended by senior executives from leading mutual funds and brokerage firms, the MDP offered interactive sessions on investment research and techniques.

Report after the Event :- The program began with the National Anthem, followed by Welcome speech by Dr. Lukman Patel Mr. Anupam Srivastava addressed the students about the importance of taking up entrepreneurship and only with hard work and perseverance one can achieve the goal.
Ms. Priya Iyer briefed the students with the support being provided through various schemes under the Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS) schemes.
Mr. Vivek Lokhande detailed various State Government Schemes for MSME , He told students to avail this facilities given by the state government these schemes. High Tea was arranged for all the participants M0r. Sunil Khujnare briefed the students about the support being provided by the MSME DFO. Ms. Priti Yamdagini motivated the students and conducted various exercises for knowing one self and to take up entrepreneurship as a career. Two students shared their experience and learning about the entire one day program. Dr. Lukman Patel anchored the whole proceedings of the day and presented the vote of thanks.
