- The HR Meet 2025, Panel Discussion on “Employee Wellness & Wellbeing”, hosted by Allana Institute of Management Studies (AIAIMS), successfully brought together HR leaders and industry professionals to share valuable insights on fostering holistic wellbeing in the workplace. The event commenced with a captivating welcome address by Dr. Bernadette D'Silva, Director of AIAIMS. The event was organized by Dr. Bernadette D’Silva, Director, AIAIMS and Prof. Fatima Sayed, Assistant Professor, AIAIMS.Mr. Divyesh Damania, Deputy Manager, The Times of India spoke about the range of activities under the HR function, encouraging students to take the first step in exploring HR roles early in their careers. He also underscored that transparency in communication is key to reducing workplace stress, advocating for open dialogue and trust-building initiatives within organizations.The keynote speaker, Ms. Shree Agarwal, HR Head at Mid-day Infomedia Ltd., gave a perfect start to the theme of the event by her opening remarks. She emphasized that “Wellbeing begins with Self” and enlightened students on the challenges employees face in organizations today.Mr. Faiz Riaz Shaikh emphasized the importance of digital detox and internal world connections for personal well-being. He also discussed the power of first impressions, highlighting the impact of body language and tonality in professional interactions.
- The Student Council of AIAIMS proudly hosted Cogency 2025, an extraordinary Intercollegiate Competition held on 1st February, 2025 under the guidance of Dr. Benardette D'silva, Director and Dr. Maryam Tariq, Assistant Professor. This vibrant event attracted participants from across Mumbai, showcasing a thrilling mix of management, sports, and cultural competitions.With an impressive turnout, Cogency served as a dynamic platform for young talents to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and competitive spirit. The positive feedback from participants, judges, and attendees highlighted the event's success and the enthusiasm it generated.

- The Orientation Program for the MMS Batch 2025-2027 at Allana Institute of Management Studies began on 23rd September 2025 with an inspiring first day designed to motivate and prepare our students for the journey ahead.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Bernadette D’Silva, Director AIAIMS, whose words set the perfect tone for the day, encouraging students to step confidently into this new chapter of their academic journey.
We were honored to welcome Chief Guest Dr. H. S. Cheema, who delivered a powerful keynote on “Adapt to Win – Thriving in the Changing World,” reminding students that adaptability and resilience are key to thriving in dynamic environments.
The day continued with an insightful session by Dr. Ali Akbar Gabhrani on “Calm Minds, Strong Leaders,” where students explored practical ways to manage stress and emotions, vital for becoming effective leaders.
Bringing in a futuristic perspective, Mr. Shreyas Nambiar engaged the audience with “AI in Education: Opportunities and Challenges,” sparking curiosity about how technology is reshaping education and leadership.
This enriching day was thoughtfully organized by Dr. Maryam Tariq, Assistant Professor, AIAIMS, whose efforts ensured a smooth, impactful, and memorable beginning for the new batch - A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Practical Knowledge and Hands-on Experience in Leveraging AI-powered Tools" was held on September 23, 2025, at the Allana Institute of Management Studies.
Mr. Shreyas Nambiar led the enlightening FDP, guiding faculty members through the use of AI in research, academics, and professional development. Participants experienced firsthand cutting-edge AI tools that can improve instruction and expedite academic procedures.
Prof. Fatima Sayed arranged this FDP, which gave educators a wonderful opportunity to learn about skills that will be useful in the future and incorporate AI-driven solutions into their work. - On 27th October 2024, Manisha Sangani had a Foundation Values session Understand the CIRCA Values and discover its way to apply in life.
- Orientation Program MMS Batch 2025–2027
Anjuman-I-Islam’s Allana Institute of Management Studies (AIAIMS) successfully conducted its three-day Orientation Program for the new batch of Master of Management Studies (MMS) students from 23rd to 25th September 2025.
The program began with an inspiring Keynote Address by Dr. H. S. Cheema on “Adapt to Win – Thriving in the Changing World”, emphasizing adaptability, resilience, and continuous learning.
Sessions on Day 1 included “Calm Minds, Strong Leaders – Managing Stress and Emotions” by Dr. Ali Akbar Gabhrani, who shared practical strategies for emotional well-being, and “AI in Education – Opportunities and Challenges” by Mr. Shreyas Nambiar, highlighting the growing role of technology in management learning.On Day 2, wellness expert Ms. Arpita Kothari conducted an engaging session on “Physical and Mental Wellbeing for Future Managers”, followed by an insightful alumni interaction with Ms. Bushra Ansari on “Management Leadership”, where she shared her professional journey and leadership experiences.
Day 3 featured a sensitization session on “Dignity at Work – POSH Awareness for Future Leaders” by Dr. Aruna Deshpande, and concluded with “Engaging with People & Culture – Lessons for Future Leaders” by Ms. Rima Naware, Co-founder of Inventiway Solutions and ZigMe Careers, who shared her expertise in HR and organizational culture.The program, organized by Dr. Maryam Tariq under the guidance of Director Dr. Bernadette D’Silva, offered students valuable perspectives on leadership, wellness, and professional ethics—setting a strong foundation for their MMS journey.
AIAIMS extends heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished speakers for making the Orientation Program a memorable and enriching experience. - The Internal Complaints Committee of Anjuman-I-Islam’s Allana Institute of Management Studies organized a seminar on “Dignity at Work: POSH Awareness for Future Leaders” on 25th September 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The session was delivered by Dr. Aruna Deshpande, who shared her expertise on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013 and its role in fostering safe, inclusive, and respectful workplaces. She highlighted the responsibilities of individuals and organizations in upholding dignity at work and guided students on how to create positive and equitable environments.
The interactive session encouraged students to reflect on workplace ethics, inclusivity, and leadership values, making it a significant part of their orientation journey as future managers.The event was organized by Dr. Maryam Tariq under the guidance of Director Dr. Bernadette D’Silva.
AIAIMS sincerely thanks Dr. Aruna Deshpande for her time and for sensitizing students to such an important professional and social concern. - Anjuman-I-Islam’s Allana Institute of Management Studies (AIAIMS) organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Mental & Physical Well-being for Sustainable Leadership” on 9th October 2025. The session was coordinated by Dr. Maryam Tariq under the guidance of Director, Dr. Bernadette D’Silva.The FDP was facilitated by Ms. Dinal Shah, Founder of Vismayoga and a Certified Professional Yoga Trainer from QCI International, Sri Sri School of Yoga, and The Yoga Institute, Mumbai. Ms. Shah conducted an experiential session combining mindfulness, breathwork, and simple yoga techniques designed to help educators enhance focus, resilience, and emotional balance.The program received enthusiastic participation from faculty members across various institutes, who appreciated the interactive format and the practical insights shared.
This initiative reflects AIAIMS’s continued commitment to promoting faculty wellness and professional growth—affirming that a healthy, mindful teacher creates a thriving academic environment.AIAIMS extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Dinal Shah for conducting an enriching and rejuvenating session, to all the participants for their active engagement, and to the student social media team—Ms. Sarah Khan and Mr. Ismail Shaikh—for their commendable efforts in creatively capturing and covering the event. - Students of MMS – Human Resources Specialization (Batch 2024–2026) from Anjuman-I-Islam’s Allana Institute of Management Studies visited the India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) as part of their fieldwork for the subject Competency-Based HRM & Performance Management.The visit, organized by Dr. Maryam Hanzala Tariq, aimed to provide experiential learning on competency mapping, performance practices, and behavioral aspects of workforce management across industries. Students interacted with professionals from diverse sectors and gained practical insights into aligning competencies with organizational goals.The exposure strengthened their understanding of HR concepts and enhanced their industry readiness, reflecting the institute’s commitment to holistic and application-oriented management education.
- On 6th October 2025, 45 students of MMS visited the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM)—an institute established by SEBI—at its 72-acre campus in Patalganga, Mohopada, to participate in the celebrations of World Investors Week 2025, organized globally under the aegis of IOSCO and spearheaded in India by SEBI and NISM.The program commenced with a keynote address by Mr. Vikram Kothari, Managing Director & CEO of NSE Clearing Ltd., who spoke about the critical role of clearing corporations in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and investor protection in the securities markets. This was followed by an insightful session by Dr. Jatin Trivedi, Associate Professor at NISM, who shared his expertise on investor education, financial literacy, and the evolving dynamics of the capital market ecosystem. The event concluded with NISM’s flagship activity, “The Shark Tank”, which emerged as the highlight of the day, giving students a unique platform to experience practical aspects of entrepreneurial finance and investment decision-making.All three sessions were highly enriching and thought-provoking. The students gained valuable exposure to the functioning of the securities market, particularly through their active participation in the Shark Tank program, which provided hands-on learning and real-world insights.
The visit was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Irfan Lakhani and Dr. Gazia Sayed, faculty members of Finance.
